letter to the grade 4s of 2020

Dear grade 4's of 2020

 welcome to the senior primary campus. my past 3 years has been really good but the start of grade 4 sucked for me because i was brand new to the school and did not know anyone except for one person named Luca he came in grade 3 but i came in grade 4 so i knew him he helped me make some friends one especially named Luke [my name is also Luke]. He is still one of my best friends and we always hang out together but i had a great time otherwise i have quite enjoyed my time.

So what is a digital footprint. so me and my class did a lesson on digital footprints this information is very important for children like me because we tend to say a lot about ourselves and other people even though we shouldn't post things about other people even though we don't have their permission. a digital foot print is like your online name / what people think of you type of thing and this is my digital footprint poster

In IT today we learned about email etiquette for grade six i learnt that it is very important to use email etiquette in your emails because it is very polite and especially when it is someone you don't know or look up to

Always choose kind.

                                                              precepts
We are reading the book wonder in class and Mr brown a teacher from wonder is teaching the students about precepts and now we are learning about precepts too.
The words. When give the choice between being right or being kind choose kind. Mean to me that if you like only doing stuff for yourself but it is better if you choose kind because you are not only benefiting yourself you are benefiting others. Benefiting others and yourself is a better thing to do because you might either made a new friend or made someones day but again you may not but still make their day just that bit better.

My draak is baie gevaarlik. Hy bruik sy naels om te weg. Hy het n groot kop. My draak het baie skrikwekkende tande . Hy het skepe kloue. Almal is bang vir my draak. My draak is baie vet. Hy het    n lang stert. Hy  het skerp naels.

A day in the life and how of a child in an informal settlement

Hi I’am siabongo, yesterday I woke up to my mom going to catch a taxi.My house is not that big I share a room with my brothers.The shack is made out of iron sheets. She did not say goodbye because it was three in the morning. I am the oldest of the kids. I am 13 years old. I made porridge for my three brothers. We had to go to school. So I walked with them. There was such hectic winds. It was just about storming. Once we got to school we had a test on English. I could not study because we have no electricity so no light. I got chased out because I did not have enough or the right stationary. It would make my life so much better if we had electricity and a bigger shack, and better schools.

singing inspector (A fantasy poem)

Yesterday was the worst day of my life! The singing inspector came. He is honestly the worst most hateful person in the world. Seriously, it's like he's allergic to everything,so he hates everything. He called me and Charles up first. We did not know a single song. He shouted,what can you sing? Charles said we can sing pretty Polly. Our singing was terrible

News in grade 5

Last week we did an ILT  integrated learning Task my partner was Mitchell the ILT was on soil creatures. We did a hedgehog making the poster was so much fun it was fun because we had so much decorations so we made the poster look awesome then we had to turn it into an oral. we looked up some facts and did it mitchell and I had a blast.



When we went on camp I was a little scared but I had a great time. All the activities and swimming was awesome. The food was not the greatest but I’m very fussy so that’s my openion. All in all it was so much fun playing with all my friend and going on the night hike was so much fun.

This morning we all watched bear grills it was cool then we did the bird ILT it was fun then we did some maths it was so much fun  I love maths

Camp is going to be awesome 😱 I probably won't want it to end

Tomorrow till Friday will probably be the best days of my life

I am very excited for tomorrow it will be my first school camp I am very sure that I will have lots of fun I'm having a great time at Elkanah
